Silver Creek Trails - Barron County Forest - Silver Creek Unit

Silver Creek Trails are located in our nearby 1200 acre, non-motorized, Barron County Forest - Silver Creek Unit, affectionately known by the locals as Mesenbring's, after it's namesake Mesenbring Ranch.

In 2018, the trails became part of the CORBA trail system (Chippewa Off Road Bike Association), which is one of the largest bicycle user group in Wisconsin.  We currently have eight miles of singletrack and an additional 6 miles of access roads to ride and hike.

We're in the process of getting more signs for the trails, including the trail head.  Barron County and CORBA have been a great support for us and we envision a fabulous future for this public trail system.

Our goal is to have a total of 20 - 25 miles of single track trails within the next five years and we would eventually like to add these proposed projects:

*Map/Information kiosk

*pit toilets

*small covered picnic area

*West entrance parking

*more miles of singletrack

This is a No Fee trail system. There are no closed hours,

but we do encourage trail etiquette, especially during

hunting season and winter use.

No motorized vehicles allowed.

Horses are NOT allowed on the single track trails.

Hikers and bikers only.

We don't close the trails for weather, in any form, though we recommend trail etiquette.  These trails are primitive and rugged with rocks and roots.  We encourage you to come out and ride, any time of year!  Tear it up, have a blast and really do some mountain biking!  You'll be surprised at the challenging amount of elevation change in this modest forest.

We also think it's a great trails system for hiking and snowshoeing.  It's an absolutely beautiful place to spend your time.  The forest has two Class 2 trout streams to fish and the hunting is plentiful.

No motorized vehicles allowed.

Horses are NOT allowed on the single track trails.

We're happy to say that our work has been paying off and soon we'll have a wonderful, well marked trail system for you to enjoy.  We're continually working on maintaining the trails and adding many miles in this 1200 acre forest for all to enjoy.

Tony is the designated Trail Manager/Trail Builder for this CORBA mountain bike trail system and if you have any questions at all, please let us know.  You can also check the Facebook page for updates on trail conditions:
